The story is... Joseph lost his father and he lives on the farm with his mother. He finds a map and goes through 3 things he fears the most: attic because of spiders, climbing up the tree cause he's afraid he'll fall, not to mention his father is no longer there to catch him, and finally the fear of joining his father on board on the boat. The father on the story is clear that he's dead but we're not sure how. The only theory is he probably got lost somewhere and died. The father left a chest full of memories with him and his family. The last gift the father gave was bravery. And I believe he also regret leaving him with his fears he hasn't faced yet, which is why his father left those clues.

I cried after watching this. I didn't have a chance to meet my father he died before I was even born. This animation made me emotional and jealous at the same time, I wished that I felt that exact feeling that boy felt while he was with his father.
It's okay. I always was so afraid of talking to my dad. I feared he would be like he used to be. Nothing I liked he liked. But reading this text gave me hope. I still have time to talk to my dad. I'm sorry you never could. It breaks my heart that you'll never know what it's like to have a father's love. When we first went to Canada, it wasn't what he expected. He became sad and angry at the same time. Sometimes I sit in my room, crying and thinking 'What if he's sad again today?' But he's not so I should be happy. I never thought I'd have a worse day than the first day I had depression. But I have one. My cousin is moving to America. I trusted her with the bottom of my heart. I told her everything. Now she's gone. She is my best friend. (And I'll never know why we named our Minecraft world IDIOTS PLACE THIS.)

Very touching to see the journey little Joseph has been through, the struggle of bearing through the disappearance of his father, and knowing the last gift a father can give to his son, the most important of all, is his -son’s possessions- love. In all seriousness this is a beautiful story that some can relate to and perhaps find some comfort in. Needless to say I shed a few tears myself.

That was amazing. I was on the verge of tears at the end there, for sure. These animations, which aren’t part of any real series (they are kind of their own thing) are where your talent lies. Sure, both Worlds Apart and Songs of War were good, but it’s the standalone animations like this one that are the best.

HE GOT LIT AND DROWNED Or got lost in a storm and died after hit boat sunk and he ran out of energy to swim making it a slow, agonizing, painful death as water filled his lunges and choked him as he slowly blacked out and took hours to finally die as the water damaged his lungs and made his respiratory system have a physical breakdown as he drowned. Very very painful
